Overview

The faculty of Natural Sciences of Thu Dau Mot University is established in 2009 [https://khtnen.tdmu.edu.vn] from the merger of 03 faculties: The Faculty of Natural Sciences, The Faculty of Biotechnology, and The Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences has developed its direction to develop products of natural origin for daily life, and implemented this based on the common needs of TDMU, Binh Duong province, and the Southeast region, Southern key economic region.

The organizational structure of the Department consists of 05 departments, and a faculty office. Training programs include: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Biology, and Environmental Science. The total number of current lecturers and staff is 79 staff, including 02 Associate Professors, 12 PhDs, 67 Masters (04 researchers working at foreign institutions, and 22 researchers working at domestic institutions) and 6 secretaries.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences is responsible for training undergraduate and graduate degrees, scientific researching, and technology transfering. The faculty currently has 05 undergraduate majors: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Biology and Environmental Science; 01 graduate major in Environmental Science. The Bachelor of Chemistry program alone has 598 students taught by 24 lecturers, including 2 associate professors, 7 PhDs, 11 masters and 4 visiting lecturers.
